Moderators will warn anyone that breaks any of the following rules. If the warning is ignored, and the offender still continues, they will be kicked or banned from the lobby (depending on the severity). If you have an issue with another user, there is a “Report” option – just right click on their name. For any other concerns or problems email dotMaiku or one of the moderators (in the lobby works fine). Bans last 7 days.

  • Respect other players and lobby users. Do not insult other players.
  • Do not be a nuisance (saying random unrelated… “BACON”, talking in all caps, causing trouble, trolling, provoking, etc.).
  • Do not use excessive smileys and emotes.
  • Do not spam “not amused” achievements in the lobby. Yes, everyone can see them. Using them when it is relevant is ok, otherwise use the achievement room.
  • Keep the lobby PG-13, you know what this means. Keep all questionable material out of the main lobby. It’s ok in rooms. If you question whether it’s safe, don’t post it.
  • Don’t discuss or talk about illegal drugs, alcohol, and the like.
  • Do not post anything in the lobby that is NSFW. Posting it with a NSFW tag is not allowed either.
  • No extraneous swearing (a rare “fudge, I missed” is ok)
  • Off-topic chat is allowed in the main lobby (if it is appropriate). However if it interfering with other conversations, please take it to a room.
  • You must be at least 15 years of age to use the lobby. If you are found to be under that age (by lack of maturity, or admitting it) you will be banned.
  • Do not induce lag on purpose in games.
  • Do not torrent or download large files when playing – this drastically affects netplay.
  • Do not enter and immediately leave a game, for the purpose of annoying the host.
  • Do not rage quit games repeatedly. Let your opponent know that you’re out of their league.
  • No avatars or taglines with inappropriate content (again, keep it PG-13).
  • No harassing the moderators. If they ask you to stop, then stop.
  • Do not spam the lobby with repeated text, “not amused” commands, or triggers.
  • Do not use the lobby to talk to your opponent, use the room chat or PM instead.
  • Do not advertise Hamachi or other VPN software.
  • English, use it in the lobby. You can speak any language you want in PMs, chat rooms, or game rooms.
  • Do not create multiple accounts because you forgot your password, “felt like it”, or are ban evading. If you lost your password, email dotMaiku.
  • Do not impersonate another user or login with their account.
  • Do not advertise your site or anything you are trying to sell.
  • Do not post links to illegal and copyright material (this includes free downloads of purchasable games, i.e.: Hisoutensoku).

Moderators are allowed to kick or ban for any of these reasons or for reasons they see fit. This includes new issues that might arise that aren’t listed above. Do not try to wheedle your way out or around the rules. If you have problem with a moderator’s decision, contact them or dotMaiku in private, do not make a big issue about it in the lobby.

Rules are more lax in rooms, but are still enforced. Do not make rooms to “get away from the rules” or as a “random purpose” chat. Try to be intelligent while using the lobby, not a stupid user spewing nonsense. Questionable material is allowed in rooms. 18+ material can only be posted in PMs, if both receiver and sender consent to it.

Don’t expect to have complete privacy while chatting. Nothing is encrypted and every action is logged by the server. PMs are not moderated, but are scanned for illegal activity. If something happens in a PM that is against the rules, you are responsible for reporting it. This program was meant to be a “gaming hub,” not a substitute for Skype. The lobby administration is not liable for anything you post. They will surrender any and all logs if asked by authorities.
